WWE has decked itself out in pink, showing full support for the fight against Breast Cancer. October, Breast Cancer Awareness month, has become the season where Susan G. Komen partners with the world’s finest collections of grown men pretending to fight each other in their underwear.
In the latest attempt to continue the cause, WWE will be cross-promoting with several stars of NBC’s Today Show. John Cena will make an appearance on the morning show while Kathie Lee and Hoda Kotb will be showing up on Monday’s October 6th edition of Raw. Considering the two ladies beginning drinking during their morning show, they should be good and tanked by the time Raw begins.
Also making an appearance is Joan Lunden, who is currently battling breast cancer. Hoda Kotb is a seven-year survivor herself. Philly.com has a good write-up on what to expect, along with this quote by WWE Chief Brand Officer, Stephanie McMahon…
“WWE is thrilled to have Kathie Lee Gifford, Hoda Kotb and Joan Lunden join Monday Night Raw to help shine a light on the battle against breast cancer. These women continue to be a voice for the millions that are affected by this devastating disease. We are honored to have their support in raising awareness and funds to continue the fight.”
