Scott Steiner Refuses WWE Legends Deal

by: Mitch Nickelson

Scott Steiner stays active these days. From wrestling on independent shows to making special appearances, he does a heck of a job in keeping the “Freakzilla” brand alive. Recently, he was found hobnobbing alongside geeks and gamers when he went to the uber-popular San Diego Comic Con.

Ringside Collectibles, a group dedicated to selling all sorts of toys and merchandise associated with the wrestling world, chatted with the man behind the largest arms in the world. Obviously, the interviewer asked Big Poppa Pump if he had his very own collection of wrestling figures. Steiner’s pause and response were classic. I’ll edit it for the kids…

“Are you ________ kidding me? I’m a grown man. Why would I have toys?”

While the banter was light-hearted and fun, one particularly interesting nugget of information was discussed. The short fella with a microphone asked The Big Bad Booty Daddy if he’d ever sign a WWE Legends contract. Apparently, the WWE has already reached out to him and offered him one. Will he ever put his name on the dotted line? Sadly, the answer to that question is a very strong NO.

“Well, I’ve been asked for a Legends contract. Unfortunately, my lawyer explained to me that it’s not worth the paper it’s written on.”

This information will undoubtedly crush Al N. Jaxson (…he’s the Al in MitchandAl.wordpress.com). If there ever was a loyal fan of Stott Steiner, it is him. But cheer up, Al and all you Freaks out there. Scott still relentlessly tours the country, so there’s a high probability that he’s going to be somewhere close to you in the near future. But if you absolutely cannot wait until then and need your Booty Daddy fix RIGHT NOW, then head on over to his online store and order yourself a copy of Scott Steiner’s Freaktunes.

It’s an audio cd that you work out to. Or make love to. I really don’t know, I never really understood the guy once he went solo and started wearing chainmail on his head.

Don’t worry, I’m sure he’ll need the money some day and Steiner will put his Freakzilla Hancock on that WWE Legends contract. Until then, follow me on twitter @MitchNickelson to keep up with my near-daily rants on all things wrestling. Thanks again for reading.
